Read this now. Good post Ash! Very well thought out and useful. For a beginner, maybe one point deserves number 9 – “get a review” from a good experienced friend.

Keep it simple.
Spell it correct.
SMS is for mobile phones.
Don’t repeat words.
Try get the grammar right.
Write first. Edit later.
Definitely Edit.
Write. And write.
Get a review.

Just wanted to put your tips together, brings out a good checklist!
